Gig Harbor
The old harbor town has early-1900s houses on plank subfloors and crawl spaces; Gig Harbor North, Crescent Valley and Artondale are 1980s to 2010s developments with level plywood subfloors and large open plans. Mudrooms and entries get vinyl plank; main floors go either way. The condos and townhouses near the harbor have sound rules for upper units.
Fox Island and Purdy
Waterfront and wooded-lot homes on crawl spaces in a damp environment, where the moisture check decides product and timing, and the bridge to Fox Island adds a little scheduling.
The Key Peninsula
Key Center, Lakebay, Home and the rural lots in between: part-time and full-time homes with long drives, often on wells and septic. Floors in homes that sit cool for weeks need products and gaps that tolerate humidity swings.
When you call
Say the area, the rooms and rough footage, what is on the floor now and whether the house is occupied full time. You get a call back to book a free measure, the installer's name and L&I registration number, and a written quote before anything is ordered.
